Anne announces Pulling Chain LP, out 3/4/13 via Run For Cover

Portland-based project, Anne, is pleased to announce his proper debut LP, Pulling Chain, set for release March 4th on Run For Cover Records.  Pulling Chain leads us through a dark and gritty dance oozing with gothic sexuality and combining vibing, moody synths with thumping electronic back beats.  The debut marks a change in form as frontman David Lindell continues Anne into electronic territory that maintains his original post-punk rhythmic tendencies. Lindell is back with a collection of songs that carry a grinding, primal urgency heard in his new video “Blonde Men” which premiered with Brooklyn Vegan today.

Watch David Kanaga’s trippy video for “Space Ox && Peking Duck”

David Kanaga is pleased to share a new video for the tracks ”Space Ox && Peking Duck“.  Andrew Strasser, director of the video, has said that the video is “all about the size of the human brain. We are easily distracted and capable of confusing real things with unreal things. Even when we are conscious of this confusion, we willfully engage in a two dimensional experience.  I address the nostalgic melodies in David’s music by using recreational imagery and symbolism to distract the viewer and maintain a peace. For me, this connects to the gaming origin of this music and references older forms of games and recreation.”

TV Ghost Share “Others Will Be Born” video

Indiana psyche post-punks, TV Ghost, enthrall us with a brand new video for “Others Will be Born” which appeared on their third full-length LP, Disconnect, from In The Red Records earlier this year.  Disconnect pushes TV Ghost even further down their collective tunnel into a lush torrent of sound. Spectral guitars and industrial drums infectiously stir together into a grinding, goth sludge – somehow managing to be disorienting and beautiful at the same time.  They kick off their North American tour with Holograms today in D.C which rounds them through the Northeast, Chicago and down the west coast this December.
